This Christmas market is only open until Boxing Day, so make sure to take a trip before the New Year. Situated on the riverside, close to the London Eye, the South Bank Christmas Market is known for the street food market vendors who will be offering festive delicacies through November and December. Birmingham hosts the biggest authentic German Christmas market outside of Germany and Austria. It is an unmissable experience, with gluhwein, German beer, and bratwurst all available to enjoy alongside the cheerful sound of carol singers and live music. A particularly unique aspect of this market is the singing Christmas Moose, who can be seen in front of the Council House in the city centre, serenading shoppers as they browse the market stalls.

This market is only open for a few days during the festive period, but it is well worth a visit if you can travel to Norwich during this weekend. It is held in the large glass building opposite St Peter Mancroft, which is Norwich’s oldest medieval church. Edinburgh Christmas Market, 13 November to 3 January
Edinburgh is a great place to go for a weekend city break all year round, but it becomes even more special during the Christmas season.
